A new old cottage

When you wander around Clayton you will notice most of the homes date back to the early 1900s. Our cottage is one of the few new homes that can be found in the village. It was built in 2007, on the site of a former home that had sadly fallen into complete disrepair. It had been abandoned for more than 10 years and was home to many skunks and squirrels. A tree was actually growing out of the roof. Unfortunately, when we bought the home, nothing could be salvaged. So the builder started from scratch. Working with the footprint of the original home, the cottage was desgined and built on the existing 60 by 90 lot.
